Living the WONG LIFE

AREs

I'm so excited! I finally passed my last Architectural Registration Exam on 4/3/2018!!

I think I'm just more excited about never needing to study again vs. actually having a license.

Now I just wait until NCARB reviews my records & transmits it to NYS for their review.

Preface

I've been off the radar for a while. Lots has happened in the past 1.5 years.

In the past 1.5 years, I've discovered 2 herniated discs (L4 & L5), sciatica, and what doctors has told me in Upstate NY that my ankle is just sprained... it wasn't. I was constantly sent home told to elevate, ice, and take 4 Advils; or sent to PT.

I went through 2 ankle surgeries, the left ankle ligament completely torn off and the right, partially torn. My left ankle had a procedure (http://www.arthrex.com/resources/animation/5rSr5IN0GUGl_gE9fz1ABg/internalbrace-ligament-augmentation-repair) done where I now have 2 plastics screws and a reconstructed ankle capsule constructed of my own tissue. In addition, we've found that in the right ankle, I had fractured the tip of the tibula and the piece of dead bone has been floating in my ankle for so long.

Rehabilitation has been a long process, not perfect. The ankle surgery helped some but my back still hurts. It's been actually running up my back lately and I think that it's due to the posture I've been sitting at work.

I've been still trying to live my life the way I have in the past but I just don't have the stamina. Standing too long or sitting too long does not make my back happy; but I'm determined to push through this.
